Very convenient and affordable. Would stay again!
Excellent value! I stayed at hotels in Tokyo that were triple the price, but just as good. The customer service was good, although english speaking was limited. (I was able to use Google Translate when there were communication gaps.). The double room on the "comfort" floor that we had was slightly small but okay for our needs. On-site laundry facilities were extremely convenient. The location of the hotel was perfect for our family gathering. Also, having a Family Mart next door was convenient. The breakfast had an okay variety, but could be improved. My mother said the miso soup was fantastic! The vending machines downstairs were also convenient. There were also bicycles that were easy to rent from EcoBike at the parking area of the Family Mart nearby. We were able to ride for less than 10 minutes to Dojomonzen shopping area.
I would give this hotel I higher rating if it werenʻt for the in-room bath. The bathtub in the shower was much too high for my 90-year-old mother. After trying to shower the first night, she was unable to shower for the remaining 2 nights during our stay. It was rather dangerous for my mother. I strongly suggest a shower option that is made for people with physical disabilities. We were in a non-smoking room on the "comfort" floor, which I thought was non-smoking. However, the hallways on the comfort floor always smelled like smoke, even if smoking was allowed on floors below. The food for dinner and breakfast were okay, but could be improved. The breakfast buffet could be better if fruits were served. The only "fresh" option was a bowl of lettuce. We did not use the onsen, because we have cultural tattoos, and my 90-year-old mother (who does not have tattoos) is extremely uncomfortable with public baths.

A comfortable and clean place, without frills but good value.
I liked the women's public bath, very well equipped with lotions, hair dryer etc. The desk staff were helpful in calling taxis. (I spoke no Japanese and they no English; we communicated via my phrase book.) Breakfast was generous, dominantly Japanese but with European continental choices.
There was no wardrobe or drawers for clothes (and I was staying for a week). There were a few hooks/hangers on the wall. I kept bruising my elbow on the door frame when in the bathroom (it was very close to the loo). There was no skin lotion in the toiletries in the room.
